The challenges that await you

Do you want to leverage your expertise in building maintenance to actively contribute to the sustainability of municipal infrastructures? This position is for you!

Reporting to your immediate supervisor, you will play a central role in coordinating and developing operational maintenance master plans (OMMP) to optimize infrastructure investments. Through your technical leadership, you will develop medium and long-term planning strategies (five-year and ten-year plans), create decision-making tools, and propose innovative practices that ensure the safety, performance, and compliance of municipal assets.

Your main challenges:

  • Develop the operational maintenance strategic plan (OMSP) aimed at optimizing the use of human and financial resources while ensuring the sustainability of assets.
  • Develop, coordinate, and update the OMMP, integrating best practices for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Act as a consultant in computer-assisted maintenance management (CAMM), supporting teams on technical, operational, and analytical aspects.
  • Identify and mitigate maintenance incident risks by planning safety audits and proposing sustainable solutions.
  • Conduct technological monitoring to recommend innovative tools and approaches while enhancing existing systems.
  • Establish performance indicators, analyze results, produce decision-making reports, and support accountability.
  • Make recommendations on the sharing of work between internal and external resources, participate in the preparation of tenders, and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Participate in budget planning, monitor expenses, and identify strategies to optimize maintenance costs.
  • Ensure functional supervision of various resources (technicians, planners), without formal hierarchical authority, by distributing work, establishing standards, and controlling quality.
  • Represent the City before organizations and committees, according to assigned mandates.
  • Facilitate or participate in meetings with various municipal or external stakeholders to provide concrete solutions to identified technical issues.
  • Produce the required reports, summaries, or technical documents in support of management.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
  • Have eight (8) years of relevant experience in the role, particularly in property maintenance management and planning;
  • Have in-depth knowledge of building systems (electricity, plumbing, HVAC, control, etc.);
  • Have a good understanding of normative and safety rules for buildings;
  • Master tools and software for computer-assisted maintenance management (CAMM);
  • Good knowledge in contractual management and technical specification writing in maintenance.

What we are looking for:

A rigorous, strategic, and continuous improvement-oriented professional, capable of exercising a unifying and structuring advisory role. Your in-depth knowledge of asset maintenance, your ease in working in a team, using digital management or presentation tools, as well as your ability to transform data into concrete recommendations, will make you a pillar of our organizational performance.
